BIOGRAPHY
Argentinian born guitarist Ramiro Olaciregui, currently resides in Berlin and is quickly making a name for himself among the European Jazz community.
Olaciregui obtained his BA Degree from Berklee College of Music, Boston, in 2006. Afterwards he moved to New York City. Both, in Boston and New York, Ramiro collaborated with some of the strongest names in Jazz today, such as Jimmy Heath, Bob Mintzer, George Garzone, Seamus Blake, Chris Tordini, Tom Kennedy, & John Escreet. Here he also recorded his Debut Album "The Remains".
Currently Ramiro resides in Berlin where he obtained his MA in Jazz Arrangement & Composition in 2022 from the Jazz Institute Berlin and is a strong member of the jazz community of this city.

For the past years Olaciregui has participated in numerous festivals around the world both as a sideman and leader, some include (IAJE) Festival - New York (USA), Mira Jazz Fest (AG), Ecuador Jazz Fest (EC), jazz a la calle (UY), jazzopen stuttgart (DE) and Regensburg jazzweekend (DE).

In 2018 Ramiro co-founded the Humboldt Jazz Fest, a jazz festival which is held every year in Ecuador with the support of the Humboldt Association and the Goethe Institut, bringing internationally renowned musicians to play and teach throughout different cities in Ecuador. Olaciregui is the artistic director and organiser of this yearly cultural event.
